CHURCH LIGHTING ATTRACTION: St. Anthony’s Lights Up The Night!

Church Lighting 1
(NOTE: Concept image only)
In partnership with LightAction, the iconic St. Anthony of Padua Church building–a Delaware and national historic landmark–will again be lit in brilliant, high-definition lighting.  The entire church building will light up the night sky & will be the newest “jewel” in Wilmington’s skyline for the week of the Festival.  In addition, look for a special feature on the church’s “rose window” (the circular stained glass window at the north side of the church, over the altar), the church’s magnificent facade (further enhanced for 2017), as well as a highlight on the campanile (bell tower) with the hues of the tri-color Italian flag.  This attraction will also include elements of the lighting attraction on the Grade School building (near the Bellini Bar) that so many of our patrons enjoyed last year.
NEW FOR 2018: The stunning coastline of Puglia comes alive in a captivating display in the cultural area, directly behind the church!  Be transported to this stunning locale–without ever leaving the Festival!
This lighting feature coincides with our continuing celebration of 90+ years of our vibrant parish community, in anticipation of our Parish Centennial Celebration in 2024.
